Open For Business

Well, it's time to unveil the new catalogue and new store. I'll save one new thing for later . . . it's still in production. Actually I'm trying to get the catalogue in PDF format as we speak, but the new store is up and running and I'm adding more product to the inventory, this evening. I've been in business for a year now, and considering I started in a recession/repression and had never ever had an internet store, I think I'm doing all right! The Business has definitely been a positive move and a real plus to homesteading. Whether it's been the homestead that's put the store on the "map" or the store that's brought the homestead into the limelight, it's made a real difference in what I'm able to share. I promised when this blog began, I'd post the good and the bad, so let me recap just a bit and bring each of those together in a single event.
I've talked about my broken arm on other blog sites but not really here, so much. I was doing chores and broke my arm, for the second time this year. It's really been a deal! I hate to feel bad and I don't like pain, but I don't go to doctors, either, so . . . that would really limit my options when it comes to the big injuries and major health crises of life, if I didn't trust G-d for healing and comfort. The Bible is full of accounts of healing and of course it also mentions our Creator, and HE created herbs, so with that in mind and spirit, that is how I take care of my health. Well my broken arm hurt, it hurt really, really bad! It was one of those restless pains; and by restless I mean I couldn't find a comfortable spot or comfortable temperature. Ice would help for a few minutes, then it was cold and throbbing. Heat helped for a bit, then it was just wrong . . . I tried some of my G-ma's Liniment Balm, and that helped too, some . . . but in this crisis, I remembered how capsicum helped alleviate pain and I had a ton of peppers this year. I've blogged, I've posted pictures, I've given them away, I've invited folks to come get them, and it seems that all summer with my family here, we had stuffed peppers at least twice a week, not to mention frozen, canned, I could go on and on, but . . . I already have. Now, I had purchased some pepper plants last spring, hoping to try my hand at making my own Tabasco sauce, but the peppers turned out to be habaneros, and other than making my own organic pesticide, I didn't know what I'd do with four plants just full beyond belief. Turns out, I discovered a use for them. Now I can't give away my secret recipe here, but I made a topical formula, FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY, that has really worked wonders for my arm. I call it CHINICREEN and my tag line is: Natural Pain Relief, when the pain is bad to the bone!
I'm listing tonight in my store. It is ready!
