Praising Him

This past month has been difficult, because I made it that way!  Not a smart idea, but I learned something in the process that I'd like to share.  The things I thanked YHWH for, continued to be good.  The things I whined and fussed about didn't get a bit better!  I had a dear friend that used to use the term "snivelin'."  If someone voiced much extended complaining, in a tone of absolute discompassion, he'd say, "Ah, quit your snivelin'."

Since this homestead is based upon the Way of Life taught in Torah, it is basically a physical manifestation of my relationship and obedience with Abba.  He inhabits the praise of His people, and nothing goes wrong in His presence.  On the other hand, He won't make us give up our worrying or whining.  I'm not much of a worrier, but I have been known to murmur and complain, a.k.a. whine and snivel.  This may sound mundane to some and repetitive to others, but it is the small foxes that spoil the vine.

The little things we do that take our eyes off of Him, or complaints rather than praise do make a difference in our walk, thus in our life.  Of course, we are to take our burdens and concerns, even our fears to Him, but faith leaves the problems with Him.  If we pick them back up and complain, we haven't trusted Him.

I've so enjoyed sharing the reports of no ice on Shabbat, and every time I realize what He did, I truly do rejoice in Him.  I get a big smile on my face, just typing this testimony.  One of the coldest winters on record, and I spent every Shabbat with no ice in the stock tank!  He is truly worthy to be praised.  The truth of the matter is this.  If I had needed to crack ice, that seemed to be covered in His Word, as to not leaving an animal in distress on Shabbat, but He took care of the matter, beyond what I had asked or would have even imagined.
