Twenty-One Days, Big Wind Coming, and Nose Trouble

I cannot believe it. It's over 70 degrees in January, and it has been ice free in the Ozarks for at least a week! Since I'm keeping track of ice breaking, I feel compelled to share no ice breaking, as well. It's not been as mild a winter as last year, and I think that's good. We need some bugs to come to the end of their numbered days, seasonally. Ice isn't the topic for today, though. Oh, by the way, I'm just a little over two weeks away from planting my first seeds in the garden, G-d willing.
My topic today is a curiosity that I didn't include in my latest book, but I think it's worthy of mention. My latest book, "Wilt Thou Be Made Whole?" addresses our health and possible reasons for so many perceived needs for ongoing pharmaceutical treatment or continual recurring health problems. I truly believe many of our health issues and maladies are spiritual.
I got to thinking about all this stuff going around this winter, and two thoughts occurred to me. One, of course, is the crazy flu shots that I believe weaken the immune system and even introduce "who knows what" to the targeted populace. The other thought I had was about all the sinus trouble in our country. I couldn't help but think of that passage in Timothy referring to busy bodies and my Grandma's expression for an invasive gossip. She said, "they had nose trouble."
Now that even our revered news is on the level of the Enquirer magazine and the never ending drama of politics and facebook have literally displaced Soap Operas in our culture, not to mention all the "real life" mayhem on an individual level . . . Could it be we as a society have "nose trouble?"
What if all the sinus trouble or a great deal of it could be resolved, not with pharmaceuticals, but with the simple statement, "I don't want to know about it!" or "That's none of my business." I use that line all the time with family and friends, just so I don't get caught in one of those "he said/she said" deals, unless I'm looking for thet opportunity to receive the silent treatment.
Then I'm all in with both feet! You know the ones, where someone confides in you about whomever irritated them and is out of hearing range. Then they get you to say something in agreement or understanding, and the next thing you know, the previously absent subject of conversation has heard what "you said about them!" Truthfully, I try not to participate and chuckle under my breath, but sometimes it's a tempting way to be successfully banished from the information loop and be left alone.
There is also one more part of the whole sinus issue I've noticed. When I'm hearing all the dirt and tolerating "snotty" attitudes, I develop a horrible need to continuously clear my throat. I believe I'm truly trying to allow all the congested thoughts and disgust to just drain, but . . . all I have is my own proof of results.
I know, I recognize it in myself. There are certain people I'm around that I develop the most horrific sinus drainage, sneezing, and throat clearing. Once I'm out of that situation or circumstance, it disappears!
I don't like to be confided in, just to have it used against me later . . . I don't need to know that sort of information.
Coincidence? I think not!
